A trace schema and open coding of the support traces
Open-coding lab: write down the five fields a trace row needs, then read 50 recorded support traces by hand into nine mechanisms with a stage attached. The reply text alone reads 22 of 50 (44.0%) as correct and names four codes; the full five-field schema reads 16 of 50 (32.0%) and names nine, led by compose_omits_clause at 9 of the 34 failures. L1.4's four buckets absorb 28 of the 34 and hide three different mechanisms inside its biggest one, so repairing the wrong-date field clears only 6 of the 13 traces that name is blamed for.
